Algorithm Developer/Software Engineer (entry/mid-level position)

Based in Irvine, CA, CLR Analytics Inc. is dedicated to providing smart infrastructure and innovative transportation and traffic engineering solutions using emerging technologies.

We are currently working on several projects/products that involve the development of applications for Inductive Loop Signature (ILS) technologies. We are looking for an exceptional and talented researcher/engineer who is strong with algorithm development based on digitial signals and data and is willing to grow with us as we continue to expand.  

The role will involve data analytics, system evaluation and programming as well as developing the core of our innovative ILS algorithms and applications. The applicant is expected to have strong mathematical skill and programming experience and come from an academic background in transportation engineering, electronic engineering, applied mathematics or related discipline. 

The applicant needs to have software development capabilities, especially using C or C++/C#. It is expected that applicant is a citizen or a lawful permanent resident of the United States to work legally and will need H1B visa sponsorship. 

Primary Responsibilities:

 You will participate in all aspects of system development and maintenance to bring innovative products to market.​ The successful candidate will:

·         Design/run field trials and analyze/monitor data to produce informative results

·         Deliver intelligence from analysis of datasets and automate manual processes

·         Develop and extending algorithms and maintain a robust code-base

·         Work on conceptualization, design, prototyping, testing, system analysis, implementation, and documentation

·         Manage product development risk to deliver high quality results on time

·         Create reports and presentations for review

·         Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment

·         Support various projects to meet business needs

Qualifications:

·         A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline

·         Familiar with machine learning and developing ILS technologies/applications highly desired

·         Strong mathematical skills and an interest in applying them to solve problems

·         Experience of computer programming with a rigorous engineering attitude and a commitment to quality

·         Highly-motivated self-starter with a passion for new technologies and a proven track record in delivering high quality solutions to problems

·         Ability to take initiative to identify and solve system level issues with a minimum of direction

·         Strong problem solving abilities and strong critical thinking

·         Good writing skills, attention to detail, and creativity

·         2+​ years of experience in R&D or product design preferred

·         Experience and knowledge of C/C++/C#, PHP, HTML, Java, Javascript,  SQL, database management,  Linux, embedded software, hardware development and testing are desired

·         Experience and knowledge of statistical and data analysis tools are required

·         Proficient in MS Office suite
